WATERTOWN, N.Y. (WWNY) – Homebuyers are swiping up “For Sale” properties just days after they are put on the market and interest rates are some of the lowest they have ever been.

“Somebody calls, I’m able to schedule or get to the inspection I would say anywhere from three days to seven days from that call,” he said. “The past two months I’ve been anywhere from two-and-a-half to three-and-a-half weeks out due to the current situation.”

“In the seven years I have been selling real estate, I believe COVID-19, people aren’t listing homes as much as the typical spring/summer, so it’s definitely a seller’s market.”

Gibbons says home buyers are a little worried about not being able to book a home inspection but she wants them to know they can work with you.

“People have to limit the exposure or access into the homes so they’re relying on home inspectors much more nowadays to go in, check out the things that they can’t see, and answer the questions they have about the home,” Ruttan said.
